High-Capacitance Pseudocapacitors from Li+ Ion Intercalation in Nonporous, Electrically Conductive 2D Coordination Polymers

چکیده

Electrochemical capacitors (ECs) have emerged as reliable and fast-charging electrochemical energy storage devices that offer high power densities. Their use is still limited, nevertheless, by their relatively low density. Because specific surface area electrical conductivity are widely seen key metrics for improving the density overall performance of ECs, materials excellent conductivities but otherwise nonporous, such coordination polymers (CPs), often overlooked. Here, we report a new nonporous CP, Ni3(benzenehexathiolate) (Ni3BHT), which exhibits over 500 S/m. When used an electrode, Ni3BHT delivers capacitances 245 F/g 426 F/cm3 in nonaqueous electrolytes. Structural studies relate favorable to pseudocapacitive intercalation Li+ ions between 2D layers Ni3BHT, charge-storage mechanism has thus far been documented only inorganic TiO2, Nb2O5, MXenes. This first demonstration ion CPs, class comprising thousands members with distinct structures compositions, provides important motivation exploring this vast family nontraditional, high-energy pseudocapacitors.

Development of Ion-Conductive and Vapoluminescent Porous Coordination Polymers Composed of Ruthenium(II) Metalloligand.

We synthesized two new porous coordination polymers (PCPs) {Ln7(OH)5[Ru(dcbpy)3]4·4nH2O} (Ln7-Ru4; Ln = Ce, Nd) composed of the luminescent ruthenium(II) metalloligand [Ru(4,4'-dcbpy)3]4- ([4Ru]; 4,4'-dcbpy = 4,4'-dicarboxy-2,2'-bipyridine) and lanthanide ions Ln3+ (Ln = Ce, Nd). These two PCPs Ln7-Ru4 are isomorphous with the previously reported PCP La7-Ru4, and the lattice constants (a, c, an...

Flexible and conductive MXene films and nanocomposites with high capacitance.

MXenes, a new family of 2D materials, combine hydrophilic surfaces with metallic conductivity. Delamination of MXene produces single-layer nanosheets with thickness of about a nanometer and lateral size of the order of micrometers. The high aspect ratio of delaminated MXene renders it promising nanofiller in multifunctional polymer nanocomposites. Herein, Ti3C2T(x) MXene was mixed with either a...
